JAMMU: In the spirit of gratitude and reflection, JK Public School Kunjwani organized a special assembly on Thursday to mark Labour Day and honour the tireless efforts of the workers.
The event celebrated the dignity of labour and sought to instill values of respect, empathy and social awareness among the students.

Shashi Chaudhary, Director, JK Education Society, graced the occasion with her gracious presence.
The program began with Shabad i.e Pari’s self composed poem about the ‘dignity of labour’ was inspiring. Students of the Middle Wing presented a wonderful dance.
Ananya spoke on the topic ‘why do we celebrate the Labour Day’ and how these warriors of the society deserve soulful accolades. After a thought provoking skit highlighting the life of labour, came the time for appreciation.
Recognizing the tireless efforts of admin staff of the school; they were honoured with beautiful gift, presented by the students of Grade V and VI, as a token of appreciation. This was accompanied by standing ovation by the students and staff of the school.
On this great occasion, Shashi Chaudhary emphasized the importance of acknowledging the contribution of every individual, who plays a role in building our communities from teachers, doctors, security staff to class IV employees. Young minds must grow up recognizing that every job deserves respect and appreciation.
Celebrating Labour Day is not just symbolic; it is a reminder that hard work at every level fuels our nation. She emphasized that the values of humility, hard work and gratitude at the heart of schools philosophy.
The program ended with the National Anthem followed by group photograph.
