Srinagar- In a shocking case of alleged medical negligence, Dr. Anjum Nazir is facing public fury after mistakenly removing a woman’s uterus instead of performing an ENT surgery. The incident, which took place at Hakeem Sonuallah Hospital in Sopore, has sparked widespread outrage, with calls for a lifetime ban on the doctor’s private practice.

The matter came to light after news of the botched surgery went viral on social media, prompting swift action from the health department.

A team of officials raided the hospital to investigate the claims, further fueling public anger.

Residents and activists have demanded strict action against Dr. Anjum Nazir, questioning the lack of oversight in private medical facilities. “Such negligence is unacceptable. A lifetime ban on the doctor’s private practice is the least that should be done,” said a local resident.

Authorities have assured a thorough investigation into the matter, and legal action is expected if the allegations are proven true. The incident has once again raised concerns about accountability and medical ethics in private healthcare institutions.

Locals alleged that hospital authorities tried their best to hide the incident. [KNT]
