SDRF 2nd Bn conducts Mock Drill at IIT Jammu

JAMMU: The SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu, in collaboration with Medical and Fire Services personnel, on Thursday conducted a Mock Drill Exercise here at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu.

The Mock Drill was conducted under the direction of Battalion Commandant Zahid Naseem Manhas.
A simulated scenario was created to show different types of Disasters that may occur due to enemy Air Raids, firing incidents & Structure Collapse etc.
The SDRF Team responded in the shortest possible time i.e 22 minutes and displayed a wonderful mock drill witnessed by about 400 students and staff members of IIT Jammu.
Questions were entertained by the demonstrators and supervisory officers to clear the doubts. Director HG Jammu /I/C DIG HG/CD & SDRF Mohammed Arshad, Sonia Haq Khan, AC (G) (Representative of Controller CD Jammu and officers of SDRF 2nd Bn. supervised the event.
Among others present on the occasion were Director IIT Jammu Professor Manoj Singh Gaur, Faculty members, Security Staff and Students of IIT Jammu.
The team consisted of 35 SDRF personnel, 06 Firemen and 02 medical department Personnel. Officers lauded the wonderful demonstration exhibited by the team and advised them to exhibit the same enthusiasm in real time scenario disaster response.
